Laura Linney

Laura Linney, born February 5th, 1964 in New York, New York U.S.A. has been an American actor who has a reputation for playing strong but vulnerable characters. Linney came from a family of actors her father was the playwright Romulus Linney. Her graduation in 1986 was with honors from Brown University. She then trained in the Theatre Arts program at the Arts Theatre School Moscow before graduating from Juilliard School with a M.F.A. New York City, 1990. She was in New York City when she began her Broadway career. She received praise for her roles in Hedda Gabrieller as well as Six Degrees of Separation.
