Amy Smart, an American model and actress from the United States. Born and brought up in California USA she started her modeling career in Italy. In 1996, she made her debut as an actress in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. From there to starring in a minor role in the feature film Starship Troopers she struggled very hard. It was a hard time when she had to change from modelling to acting as the models were never believed to be actors and tended to be given smaller and inconsequential parts. Amy had a determination to be successful and eventually she was offered bigger roles beginning in The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. The romantic comedy Just Friends, which also featured Ryan Reynolds, saw her perform some more notable roles. Amy found her recognition after more than 10 years trying. Amy continued to appear in some of the biggest movies, including the Crank series starring Jason Statham as well as Shameless, where she played a recognizable character.
