Amy Smart, an American model, actress and actor. Born and brought up in California USA she started her modelling professional career in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film which was her first film role. The actress struggled for an appearance for her in Starship Troopers. It was a difficult transition for Amy because she had change from modeling to acting. Models aren't considered great actors, so they usually be given smaller roles that aren't very important. Amy had a determination to be successful and she eventually landed larger roles starting with The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. Then she stepped into main roles for the 2005 romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy attained the fame she had been searching for for more than 10 years when her film just Friends debuted. Amy went on to star in major film projects like the Crank Series opposite Jason Statham, and Shameless.
